Brand Strategy / Branding: Visual Identity / Print
Tucked away in the residential suburb of Leeming lies an unassuming shopping complex of restaurants and real estate agents. Amongst them rests Ichirin Japanese — a small restaurant turning out exceptional meals that punch well above their weight. With a background working in the seafood industry, chef Shiro Okuchi had a vision to turn this former fish & chip shop into a destination venue with a focus on fresh produce and their offering of Omakase – a kind of Japanese degustation requiring advanced preparation.
With a big vision and a short turn around, we consulted on interior design, developed branding with custom kanji typography, designed stationery, menus, signage and even installed the stencilled mural on the walls ourselves.
Big thanks to O.G. Papa Ben who amongst other things also helped install the mural on one very long Sunday, despite us both battling flu's.
