We worked on the Fringe World Festival brand from 2012-2020. During this period we were lucky enough to devise and design brand a suite of identities that are distinctively, unapologetically and parochially West Australian. It's been a ride to explore these creative indulgences, and then watch them run free, evolve, take on new forms and manifest throughout the Festival (and the city) in new and surprising ways.
During our time together, attendance has seen a massive 145% increase to 905,000 (2018). As a result, the Festival revenue has increased 216% to a tidy 10.1m. This makes it now the biggest annual event in WA and the third-largest fringe festival in the universe.
To commemorate this longstanding effort, we decided to piece together a collection of some of our favourite moments from the Fringe World Golden Years.
